Scrambled Shadows is a video installation exploring privacy protection techniques and personal counter surveillance measures. The work borrows strategies from other parts of the animal kingdom, tactics such as adaptive colouration and countershading, to consider approaches to surveillance drone hindering, through blocking recognition algorithms using bit scrambling (Viola-Jones framework).
This work has been inspired by the research findings of artist Adam Harvey.
